I’ve gotten really anxious that it looks like we just moved in. I’m tired of meeting people at the house and explaining that we “are still in process”. I know how much we’ve accomplished, but I’m ready to have art on the walls. I’m ready for our house to be lived in. And, like it [...]

It’s been rather fun being back in the house this Christmas. We had to spend last Christmas in the apartment when our remodel went “slightly” over schedule. So, I may have gotten a little too excited with celebrating this year. However, I’ve never had much space or much Christmas decorating “stuff”. So, I’m only an [...]

There have been so many great gingerbread houses across the modern blogosphere, like our AtomicIndy friends here.. While I don’t have the artistic talent, I wanted in on the fun. A few families on my block got together for a little gingerbread making party. We had seven kids and three mommas. We set the kiddos [...]

The Coin House is spectacular! Built in the early 1960′s and designed by Tician Papachristou and Charles Haertling, it is a sprawling, beautiful time capsule. I didn’t think I’d be able to get over there, but we had a few minutes to dash through the house. Here are some of the pics. Click on this [...]

Do you have a spare $1.6 Million dollars to spoil yourself with some pristine mid-mod love? This incredible and original home is on the market. I’ve only seen it from the outside, but I’d like to get to the open house there on Thursday from noon to 2pm Go to MileHiModern‘s website for all of [...]

I’m so excited that our neighborhood is hosting a Home & Garden Tour October 3. I believe we’ll have eight homes to tour. The proceeds benefit our local elementary school, Charles Hay. My neighbor, Stacie Smith, is organizing the event and I’m trying to help with some of the planning in between remodeling fun. We’re [...]
