After MUCH preparation and scheduling and wondering if we were crazy (yes), excavation has begun! I stopped by the house and thought they must have accidentally been digging for a swimming pool. There was a massive amount of earth being moved. As part of the remodel/restoration/craziness, we had to replace our original 1955 clay sewer pipe. The excavators dug up the old pipe and put in the new one. The plumber still needs to tie the new pipe into our plumbing, but we are now rolling with a modern sewer pipe. Holy Moly…the pipe goes 15 feet deep. Fortunately, we now have accessible clean outs and feel much more comfortable that we won’t have to rip up our yard again.
Excavation Has Finally Started
