(In all seriousness, if I do talk about something, someone or service that I have a relationship with, I will tell you. I LOVE bragging about my friends that have companies and businesses. I LOVE supporting my friends with their business ventures and telling people about it. And, most of the contractors and vendors that I have worked with on my home remodel are now my favorite people and friends and I’ll shamelessly sing their praises here. Again, please judge for yourself…I already think my new internet friends are way smarter and cooler than me so I trust your ability to come to own conclusions.)

* I really welcome and love comments. I love reading comments on other blogs & enjoy the overall comment interaction.

* I reserve the right to delete any comments that appear to be spambots or human created spam garbage. I rely on Askimet and my own eyes to determine what is spam. I’m already found that Askimet can accidentally flag someone incorrectly as spam. If you left a comment, don’t see your comment and you are not a spambot and are not selling anything, please email me at lesley at sillynothings dot com. I want to make sure your comments are coming through and I do hate for the spam filter to accidentally flag you.

* Please don’t be mean to anyone. I WILL DELETE any comments that I think are mean to me or anyone else. If you don’t like what I’m saying, feel free to move on. There are plenty of other blogs/websites to read.

* I WILL DELETE your comments if it is a shameless plug for YOUR PRODUCT OR COMPANY. If you want me to mention your company in my blog, I’ll consider anything. Just email me at lesley at midmodredo dot com. But, do not leave dumbass comments about a great windows company without mentioning that you actually own said company. Just saying.

  1. Hi,
    I am the Art Director for Interweave Books. I am looking for mid-century homes to do a photoshoot in. I was curious about your home. If you are interested, could you send me more pics of the interior of your house?
    Best, Liz

    1. Hi David,

      Actually, that is NOT correct. AFTER the addition, the total house is now around 2,000 sf. Here is the blog post I did to clarify/correct some of what was in the article. http://midmodredo.com/news-5280mag
      As I said in that post, 2,000 sf is about the limit of space that I can manage. :>

      Cheers and thanks for visiting the blog!

  2. Hello:
    My husband and I have hired a contractor and are currently having our home remodeled. We would like to have a Nana wall installed in the living room area facing the water (approx. 18′ wide). Our contractor says it is to expensive to do but my husband is determined…. After reading your info. and the very reasonable price you paid for your Nana wall and installation, we would like to proceed and have one installed…. Could you please give me the “steps” on how to get the best price and who to contact to purchase one? I guess I would then ask my current contractor to install it…
    Thank you.. I enjoyed reading your articles.

  3. Dear Erik Buck enthusiast;

    I saw your posting on a local St Louis blog relating to Eric Buck stools … etc.

    I am looking to sell my bar and stools. They have been in our family since we bought them in West Germany in 1968. I come from USAF family (father – fighter pilot). We no longer have use for the bar and stools and are looking to sell them… would you or someone you know be interested in purchasing them. I can provide you pictures if need be …..original owning family. They are in great condition and have been inside our house/and my mom and dad’s house for 50+ years.
