I played too:

Good day;

I author a nationally read blog called Atomic Indy, which focuses on the appreciation of mid century modern design. One of our readers, and Denver's mid century modern hero, Shannon Stanbro brought to our attention that your city is in immediate danger of losing two Victor Hornbein & Ed White Usonian-style buildings. The Usonian style was made famous by architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Denver has some beautiful examples of mid century modern architecture and it would be a shame to lose sight of this by allowing the destruction of the two buildings in question.

I write in an effort to raise your awareness of the value of preservation. Not for the sake of preservation itself, but rather for acknowledgment of, and appreciation for the significance and architectural relevance of these particular buildings. If even one of you considers a Denver landscape void of these mid-century gems and shutters, than there has been a small amount of success. If one of you raises the topic in conversation with another, then the path to preservation has been set. This path is lit for you. Take it. I urge you to contact Shannon Stanbro: shannon@5280mod.com to discuss possible preservation efforts.

We're not here to give you more work. There are people in place to make the next steps easy for you.

Cheers,

-Baz
