My parents came to Colorado in 1968 with everything packed into their VW Microbus. Then my very first car was a 1974 VW Karmann Ghia…purchased new by my grandmother and later handed down to me. It was “Ravenna” green(a.k.a. chartreuse) Like the one here:

I loved that car and have had a VW in my life ever since. I just wish I still had that Ghia!
Oh, I like that Ghia! I’ll have to show Tim. Tim’s family also had a long line of VW buses and cars. I might have to go count the VW ratio in the hood.
